Ridgeview Guest House

LBJ State Park

Smaller LBJ Park Provides a Big Punch

Ridgeview Guest House overlooks the historic LBJ Ranch, which rests proudly in the Pedernales River Valley. For busy visitors that do not necessarily have enough time to tour the LBJ Ranch (and the greater National Park complex), we strongly recommend visiting the smaller but very informative LBJ State Park. The state park offers visitors a taste of what the larger ranch offers, featuring historic films and artifacts of the LBJ administration, all in a nice, compact, easy-to-access setting. In fact, the attached gift shop alone is worth visiting because of it's wide range of unique souvenirs. Wildflower lovers will also find much on offer in the gift shop.

While here consider visiting the entertaining Sauer-Beckmann Farmstead, located just a short walk from the park headquarters.

Trivia: This facility is the only circumstance in which a state park and a national park share the same headquarters.

Located about 10 minutes by car from Ridgeview Guest House.
